Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive social studies curricula aligned with educational standards and tailored to diverse student needs.
- Develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate various learning technologies and creative writing techniques to enhance student understanding.
- Utilize effective classroom management and behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations.
- Provide mentorship and academic advising to support students’ social-emotional development and academic success.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, curriculum design, and instructional best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies, or related field;
- Proven classroom experience teaching middle school students in social studies or related subjects.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment strategies.
- Experience working with learning technology tools, library services, and digital resources to enhance instruction.
- Demonstrated organizational skills for lesson planning, classroom management, and record keeping.
Pay: From $30,000.00 per year
