Playback Video Games is hiring a dependable and proactive Lead Sales Associate/Keyholder for our Jacksonville location. This is a hands-on retail position for someone who can provide excellent customer service, operate independently, and help keep the store organized and productive when the owner is not present.
This role is more than a standard sales-associate position, but it is not a corporate-style store-manager job. The Lead Sales Associate works alongside the team while taking responsibility for normal shift priorities, opening and closing, routine customer issues, trades, returns, and procedure compliance.
Primary responsibilities
- Open and close the store and complete register procedures.
- Assist customers with sales, trade-ins, returns, exchanges, and repair intake/pickup.
- Set normal shift priorities and coordinate routine work with other associates.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, merchandising, and stocking standards.
- Use good judgment and contact the owner when a decision exceeds established authority.
- Follow cash, inventory, security, and customer-property procedures.
- Communicate unfinished work, incidents, and customer follow-ups clearly.
What we are looking for
- Reliable attendance and weekend availability.
- Prior retail, keyholder, shift-lead, or cash-handling experience preferred.
- Ability to remain productive without constant supervision.
- Professional customer-service and conflict-resolution skills.
- Accountability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Video-game knowledge is helpful but not required.
Schedule and compensation
- Approximately 36-40 hours per week.
- Regular closing and weekend availability required.
- $15.00-$17.00 per hour based on relevant experience and demonstrated readiness.
- Paid training with the owner and departing senior employee.
- Performance and pay review after the initial training/evaluation period; increases are not automatic.
