Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auto Upholster Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring and customizing vehicle interiors, ensuring each project meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Duties
- Measure and cut upholstery materials accurately to fit various vehicle models and interior components
- Use hand tools, power tools, sewing machines, and other equipment to upholster seats, door panels, headliners, and carpets
- Remove old or damaged upholstery carefully without damaging underlying structures
- Install new upholstery with precision, ensuring proper fit and finish for a seamless appearance
- Repair or replace foam padding, batting, and other interior components as needed
- Collaborate with team members to assemble interior parts and troubleshoot any fitting issues
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency during manufacturing and restoration processes
Requirements
- Proven experience with hand tools, power tools, sewing machines, and upholstery techniques
- Strong knowledge of automotive interior components and auto restoration processes
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications for precise assembly
- Skilled in sewing and fabric manipulation for durable upholstery work
- Experience working in manufacturing or auto restoration environments is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Ability to stand, kneel, or bend for extended periods during installation tasks
