Position Summary:The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and scheduling the pickup and delivery of donated furniture and household items, ensuring efficient daily operations and exceptional customer service. Serving as a key point of contact for donors, clients, volunteers, and community partners, this individual represents The Blessing Board with professionalism, compassion, and integrity in every interaction. The Logistics Coordinator is expected to uphold and reflect the organization's mission and core values while supporting the timely and effective distribution of resources to those in need. This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reply to voicemails, text messages and emails
- Schedule residential/business pick-ups
- Calculate pickup fees based on number of items, location, and the Driver’s time commitment
- Determine the most cost-efficient route for the Drivers
- Send follow-up text messages via the business app and pickup reminder emails
- Schedule routine monthly pickups
- Coordinate scheduling truck drives with the Community Engagement Committee
- Provide drop-off information to customers
- Compile statistical information and end-of-month spreadsheets
Qualifications:
- College degree or industry experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
- Knowledge of Google docs and spreadsheets
