Key Responsibilities
- Laundry Operations: Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens, towels, and uniforms, ensuring proper handling of fabrics and adherence to cleaning procedures.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain laundry equipment, such as washers, dryers, and folding machines, and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Room and Area Cleaning: Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, dust surfaces, and maintain cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas like lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
- Replenishing Supplies: Ensure guest rooms and common areas are stocked with amenities, toiletries, and towels, and inform the supervisor when cleaning supplies need replenishing.
- Maintenance and Safety: Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns to the housekeeping supervisor and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Guest Assistance: Respond to guest inquiries and requests courteously and efficiently, providing excellent customer service.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory of laundry supplies and cleaning materials.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and carrying items for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
