JOB This position is mainly garbage collection mid-May through mid-September and a variety of other Public Work functions and duties as assigned the other months. Tentative hours are 4:00am to 12:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and 6:00am to 2:00pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Possibility of some over-time including on weekends and holidays as needed. - Operates garbage truck.
- Collection of garbage containers.
- Cleans and provides routine inspection and preventive maintenance on vehicle and equipment.
- Respond to citizen questions at curbside.
- Assists with snow removal as needed.
- Assists with street repairs as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Skill in operation of some of the listed tools and equipment.

Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time.
