Must Have(s):
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Some Technical education or certification as a Machinist or Journeyman Toolmaker.
- 5+ Years’ Experience in working as a Technician on Automated Machines in a Manufacturing environment.
- Must have 20/40 correctable vision.
- Must be capable of lifting 70 lbs. from floor to waist and have full use of all digits.
- Capable of standing and/or sitting for more than 90 minutes straight and not suffering from any sensory deprivation and/or paralysis of the limbs.
Job Description:
- Serve as the Maintenance Technician Supervisor, and Lead Technician for all shifts and all processes in connector manufacturing.
- Lead the development of control systems for automated equipment.
- Manage all phases of controls development for assigned projects, from functional requirements and architecture through to programming, power-up, and commissioning.
- Collaborate with mechanical and process engineering teams to define and document control system functional requirements.
- Specify electrical, pneumatic, thermal, and motion control components based on system requirements.
- Oversee creation and revision of electrical schematics.
- Design and develop control systems software, including programming PLCs, HMI/SCADA platforms, Motion Controllers, and servo drives.
- Execute system startup, debug, tuning, and machine qualification for new or upgraded automation systems.
- Provide troubleshooting and support for existing production machinery and control systems.
- Manage technical resources and coordinate timelines for controls-related project activities.
- Implement control system software changes to support upgrades, process improvements, or safety initiatives.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of software templates and standards for control system functionality, structure, and documentation.
- Ensure systems are designed with safety, sustainability, and long-term performance in compliance with standards such as NFPA 79, UL508A, and ISO 3849-1.
