We are seeking an experienced, reliable, friendly, customer service-oriented Business Operations/Salon Manager to join our team.
Position Summary
The Business Operations/Salon Manager is the operations engine of the salon. This role focuses on administration, office management, scheduling, client experience, and marketing support.
This is a non-technical leadership role requiring excellent organizational, communication, and people-management skills.
The ideal candidate for the Business Operations/Salon Manager role is someone with prior experience in a salon, spa, retail, or customer service management role, particularly in fast-paced and multicultural environments. To succeed in this position, you will need exceptional communication (written and verbal), problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills. While we will consider individuals who do not provide hair services, the role requires a solid understanding of the beauty and hair industry, including familiarity with natural hair services, so you can confidently support both staff and clients.
We are looking for someone who is professional, team-oriented, and passionate about creating a seamless client experience while ensuring that the business operates efficiently in accordance with established standards.
In this role, you will report directly to the Owner.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and adjustments
- Track and maintain salon inventory; coordinate product orders and supplies
- Assist with payroll reporting and timesheets
- Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly business projections and performance reports
- Maintain client and staff records in compliance with salon policies
- Supervise salon staff
- Support “Floor Leaders of the Day” by handling non-styling related issues (wait times, payment questions, service flow)
- Provide select hair and client services
- Resolve client service concerns
- Uphold salon policies and support a positive, professional team culture
- Coordinate salon promotions and campaigns (back-to-school specials, referrals, etc.)
- Manage client communications (emails, SMS campaigns, loyalty program updates)
- Plan and execute social media campaigns
- Track promotion performance and provide reports
Qualifications
- Prior experience in office management, retail operations, or hospitality management preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with scheduling or booking software
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable managing a team and holding people accountable
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for beauty, hair care, or salon industries (interest a plus, technical skills not required)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.50 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
