Job Overview
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet Panoramic Doors’ quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements. This position works closely with production employees and supervisors to identify defects, correct issues, and prevent nonconforming products from moving to the next stage of production.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Inspect tracks, jambs, screens, panels, glass, and completed door systems.
- Read work orders, cut sheets, drawings, and product specifications.
- Accurately read and record measurements specified on each order.
- Use measuring tools to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
- Verify materials, hardware, glass specifications, and product configurations.
- Perform inspections throughout the production process, including the insulated glass (IG) line.
- Conduct incoming inspections on materials received from suppliers.
- Identify and document defects, damaged materials, incorrect components, and workmanship issues.
- Place nonconforming products or materials on hold when necessary.
- Communicate quality issues clearly to production employees, leads, and supervisors.
- Verify that corrections and rework are completed before approving the product.
- Complete inspection reports, quality records, and photo documentation accurately and on time.
- Verify that required morning quality checks and production tests are completed.
- Assist in different production areas and perform additional quality duties as needed.
- Maintain an organized work area and follow all company safety procedures.

- Must be a dependable team player who works well with others.
- Must be flexible and willing to assist in different areas based on production needs.
- Ability to read, understand, and accurately record measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify quality issues.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50–80 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the production floor for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
