Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to ensure spotless surfaces.
- Conduct detailed floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to restore floors to their optimal shine and durability.
- Handle and apply floor cleaning chemicals and floor care products safely and effectively, following all safety protocols.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, polishers, carpet extractors, and other janitorial tools with precision.
- Manage heavy lifting tasks involving cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment while adhering to manual handling safety standards.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in restrooms, common areas, offices, and other designated spaces.
- Support environmental services initiatives by properly disposing of waste and using eco-friendly cleaning agents whenever possible.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or healthcare environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of floor scrubbing, waxing, buffing, carpet cleaning, and floor refinishing techniques.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and responsibly while following all safety guidelines.
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, extractors, and chemical dispensing systems.
