Job description
We’re looking for a proactive, observant, and detail-oriented Bookkeeper who demonstrates strong leadership skills and matches our energetic, fast-moving, and developing business. Must be a team player and have strong mathematical, communication, and organizational skills. Previous experience working in a medical office, preferably orthopedics, is a plus!
Responsibilities
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
- Manage accounts payable, ensure timely payments; Print checks and record payments on monthly spreadsheets for all companies.
- Prepare daily deposits & assist with remote deposit capture
- Reconcile Bank Statements
- Reconcile Credit Card Statements
- Process Payroll; Maintain employee deductions and personal information in ADP run
- Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and recruiting efforts; Maintain time off calendar; Maintain Personnel files
- Process vendor invoices monthly, review and verify invoices, reconcile discrepancies; Review bills sent to patients and/or insurance carriers, and confirm profitability of products
- Draft invoices for subsidiary corporations and collect / track payments
- Serve as a point of contact for external parties such as Outside Accounting Firm, Vendors, Employment Verifications, Bankers
- Work with the Accountant to comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings;
- Various administrative functions as needed
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Required Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
- Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, Microsoft Office & ADP Run
- Familiarity with all aspects of finance and accounting across a range of different business types
- Outstanding organizational skills: ability to prioritize, pay attention to details.
- Strong analytical and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Resourceful and able to work independently
- Ability to illustrate professionalism and maintain confidential information
- Ability to adapt to changing situations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Starting from $55,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm
- Summer Fridays 8am – 4pm
