Key Responsibilities for the Property Accountant:

Prepare monthly close, financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries

Perform variance analysis against budget and prior periods

Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of property-level financial data

Manage lease abstraction and data accuracy in Yardi
-
Complete CAM, tax, and insurance reconciliations and tenant true-ups
-
Support budgeting, invoice coding, and onboarding of new properties
Qualifications for the Property Accountant:
Bachelor’s degree

- 2–5 years of property or real estate accounting experience

Yardi or similar property accounting software experience

Knowledge of GAAP and CAM reconciliations
