, compliant with UA Local 333 prevailing wage (Davis-Bacon Act)Lansing, MichiganSOLIS MI CORP. is seeking an Industrial Piping Manager / Team Lead to lead on-site piping operations for commercial and industrial projects in Lansing, Michigan.
This is not a hands-only pipefitter role.
We are looking for a field leader who can manage people, schedule, quality, and coordination across multiple trades in an active construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Industrial Piping Oversight
- Oversee installation and modification of industrial piping systems, including process piping, water, gas, boiler, and mechanical lines
- Review and apply piping drawings, isometrics, and blueprints to real jobsite conditions
- Adjust piping routes to accommodate existing structures and renovation constraints
- Ensure compliance with local codes, project specifications, and safety regulations
Team Management
- Lead and assign work to pipefitters, welders, and helpers
- Monitor productivity, workmanship, and safety performance
- Support onboarding and field training of new crew members
- Manage subcontract piping crews when applicable
Schedule & Coordination
- Plan piping activities in alignment with overall project schedules
- Coordinate with boiler, electrical, HVAC, GC, and PM teams
- Identify schedule risks early and propose practical field solutions
Reporting & Communication
- Report daily and weekly progress to the Project Manager or Construction Manager
- Communicate field issues, design conflicts, and material needs clearly
- Support English–Korean communication when required
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial or commercial piping experience
- 2+ years in a lead, foreman, or manager role
- Ability to read and interpret piping drawings and isometrics
- Working knowledge of U.S. piping codes and jobsite safety rules
- English required for jobsite communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Piping, Mechanical, or Welding-related certifications or licenses
- Experience with boiler, utility, or process piping systems
- Retrofit and renovation project experience
- Multi-project or multi-site leadership experience
- Bilingual (Korean/English) strongly preferred
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range
- $48.00–$58.00 per hour, compliant with UA Local 333 prevailing wage (Davis-Bacon Act)
