Toledo Clinic's Rheumatology Department, Arthritis Associates, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (RMA/CCMA/CMA) to provide clinical and administrative support in a busy office setting. This position will work Mon/Tues/Thurs (7:45-5:00), Wed (7:45-4:00) and Fri (7:45-12:00).
Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants. If qualified, sign on bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex: RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT-A). For employees that have not yet obtained or renewed their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified. After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants may be eligible for an additional $2,000 Retention Bonus.
General Summary
Assist providers with patient treatment, prepares patient for providers, and performs various clerical duties.
Works under the supervision of the Office Manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.

Assist providers with patient care (injections and/or aspirations).

Various clerical duties (i.e.: answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).

Escorting patients to exam room.
-
Preparing exam rooms.
-
Preparing patient for providers (i.e.: histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).
-
Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
-
At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
-
Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
-
Follow up with lab work and/or x-rays.
-
Administering injections.
-
Provide patient training and education for medications including self-injectible medications.

Completing FMLA and disability forms.

Education:

Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school.
Preferred:
