Commercial Senior Electrical Estimator
Location: Charlotte, NC
COMPENSATION: $100-140K BASED ON EXPERIENCE

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Estimator to lead the estimating process for large-scale commercial electrical projects. This role is critical to the success of our organization and plays a major part in securing new projects, driving profitability, and supporting operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, strong leader, and detail-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and has extensive experience estimating large commercial electrical projects.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the Estimating Process
· Manage all estimating activities for assigned projects from concept through proposal submission
· Develop complete and accurate cost estimates for large commercial electrical projects
· Coordinate closely with engineering, design teams, vendors, and subcontractors
· Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to ensure accurate scope coverage
Project Planning & Coordination
· Solicit and analyze subcontractor proposals and vendor pricing
· Evaluate design issues and provide recommendations during pre-construction
· Track estimating data and ensure all estimate systems and cost databases remain accurate
· Attend pre-bid meetings, job planning meetings, and project progress meetings
Leadership & Team Development
· Provide guidance and oversight to Assistant Estimators, Project Administrators, and Project Coordinators
· Support recruiting and development of high-performing team members
· Ensure estimating standards, procedures, and best practices are followed
Business Development & Client Relationships
· Support marketing and business development efforts to secure new work
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners
· Represent the company professionally and strengthen our reputation in the marketplace
Operational Accountability
· Ensure accurate project documentation is delivered to project management and accounting
· Monitor project cost assumptions to ensure alignment with real-world conditions
· Support profitability and financial performance across a significant portion of company revenue
What You BringExperience
· 5-10 years estimating large commercial electrical construction projects
· Proven ability to lead estimating efforts on complex projects
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or equivalent industry experience.
Skills
· Strong knowledge of commercial electrical construction
· Excellent analytical and cost evaluation skills
· Ability to lead teams and manage multiple estimates simultaneously
· Strong communication and relationship-building abilities
· Highly organized and detail-oriented
