Duties
- Prepare and assemble baked goods, including cookies, cakes, and pastries, following established recipes and quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and pastry tools safely and efficiently
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision, showcasing creativity and attention to detail
- Package baked items carefully to ensure freshness and presentation for customer purchase or catering orders
- Maintain a clean workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation standards throughout your shift
- Assist in food production during high-volume periods, ensuring timely delivery of products
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service by answering questions about menu items and assisting with selections
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, baking, or pastry arts is highly preferred; culinary or kitchen experience is a plus
- Strong skills in cake decorating, pastry preparation, and food handling techniques
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean workspace
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to health regulations
- Experience working in high-volume production environments or catering settings is advantageous
- A passion for baked goods, food industry standards, and culinary excellence
