Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) plays a critical role in supporting clients throughout their treatment experience by ensuring safety, providing transportation, assisting with daily operations, and helping create a structured and supportive environment for recovery.
This position works closely with clinical, medical, and operations teams to ensure clients receive quality care throughout all levels of treatment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor client safety and conduct routine rounds/observations
- Assist with client admissions, discharges, and orientations
- Facilitate client transportation to appointments, meetings, and other approved outings
- Conduct client searches and drug screenings/urinalysis as needed
- Document observations, incidents, and client interactions accurately and timely
- Assist with medication line support (within company guidelines)
- Maintain facility cleanliness, organization, and inventory needs
- Support clients with daily schedules and treatment participation
- Assist with meal coordination and basic facility operations when needed
- Communicate concerns regarding client behavior, safety, or medical needs to leadership immediately
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in behavioral health, substance abuse treatment, healthcare, or related field preferred
- Valid driver’s license required with clean driving record
- Must be comfortable transporting clients as needed
- Kipu EMR experience is a plus
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Strong communication and crisis management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be dependable, professional, and team-oriented
Requirements
- Must be able to pass background screening
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules as needed
- Ability to remain calm in crisis situations
- Must be physically able to assist with facility responsibilities and remain active throughout shifts

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
