Overview
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and experienced Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with infants, creating a nurturing learning environment, and supporting each child's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Candidates must have at least one (1) year of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare center or early childhood education setting.
Duties
- Design and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development for toddlers.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
- Monitor and support individual needs of children, including those with disabilities or special educational requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, behavior, and daily activities to inform ongoing development assessments.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children’s milestones, address concerns, and share developmental insights.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures and sanitation standards.
- Manage classroom routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions with patience and professionalism.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles specific to toddlers and preschool-aged children.
- Experience working in daycare settings or with young children in roles such as babysitting or nannying is highly valued.
- Proficiency in classroom management techniques to foster positive behavior and effective learning environments.
- Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure safety during emergencies.
- Ability to adapt activities for children with special needs or disabilities through specialized educational strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and caregivers.
