Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in cosmetology and esthetic treatments, including skincare, facials, makeup application, and body waxing
- Supervise and mentor students during practical applications to ensure safety, technique accuracy, and professional standards
- Teach a variety of skills such as hair styling, hair coloring, hair extensions, threading, eyelash extensions, and nail care
- Demonstrate advanced techniques like dermabrasion, and advanced facial treatments
- Develop detailed lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that foster student learning and confidence
- Assess student progress through evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support their growth
- Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages creativity, professionalism, and respect among students
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of skincare, esthetic treatments, and body therapies such as massage therapy and trigger point therapy
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with expertise in salon services including hair styling, coloring, extensions, and barbering
- Strong background in teaching or mentoring students in adult education settings with effective lesson planning skills
- Ability to supervise students safely during practical sessions while fostering a motivating learning atmosphere
- Familiarity with anatomy relevant to cosmetology and esthetics to enhance instructional quality
- Skilled in performing advanced aesthetics and dermabrasion and dermaplaning
