American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring Epic proficiency and at least 2 years of MS/Tele experience.

Short-term acute care hospital setting with 379 staffed beds, designated as a Level II Trauma Center
-
Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:5-6
-
Orthopedic trauma care including post-op care management, blood administration, and wound vac management
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)

Weekends required per scheduling needs
-
Floating between units and all facilities within the state is expected

No on-call responsibilities

EMR: Epic (required)
-
Active TX RN license or valid Compact RN license required
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of MS/Tele RN experience required

Epic EMR proficiency required
-
Experience with orthopedic trauma post-op care, blood administration, and wound vac management required

At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration

Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Provide med/surg telemetry nursing care with a focus on orthopedic trauma post-op patients
-
Solid navy blue scrubs required; print tops are not acceptable attire

Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility

Refusal to float between facilities may result in termination of the assignment

Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
