Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Demolition Worker to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely dismantling structures, preparing sites for new construction, and ensuring all demolition activities adhere to strict safety protocols. Your expertise in handling various tools, heavy equipment, and understanding of building plans will be essential to successfully execute demolition projects across diverse environments. Responsibilities
- Safely demolish structures using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment while following all safety procedures and protocols
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to determine demolition scope and methods
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, and cranes with precision and care
- Remove debris and hazardous materials efficiently, ensuring site cleanliness and safety for subsequent construction phases
- Assist with site preparation including site clearing, debris removal, and material salvage
- Collaborate with construction management to review plans, schedules, and safety guidelines for each project
- Conduct inspections of demolition sites to ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in demolition work or related construction roles with a strong understanding of building construction processes
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of construction management principles, estimating, inspection practices, and blueprint reading
- Familiarity with safety protocols specific to demolition sites and outdoor work environments
- Experience with interpreting technical drawings such as schematics and blueprints for demolition planning
- Skills in handling various building materials including stucco, drywall, masonry, glass installation remnants, and roofing components
- Ability to work effectively in outdoor conditions and adapt to changing project requirements
- Additional skills preferred include plumbing, electrical experience, window installation, flooring installation, tile laying, welding, concrete finishing, masonry work, fabrication, restoration projects, hardscape work, cabinet installation, door hanging, construction painting, caulking or plastering
