Job Summary
*NEW AGENCY!* We are currently seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Dual Licensed Therapist specializing in Mental Health and Substance Abuse to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive clinical assessments, treatment planning, psychotherapy and counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, substance use issues, and co-occurring disorders through evidence-based practices. Duties
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine client needs.
- Provide individual, group, family, and crisis intervention counseling utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with client goals while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and documentation standards.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to enhance client engagement and promote behavioral change.
- Manage cases involving complex issues such as PTSD care, grief counseling, chronic pain management, autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation and ensure timely submission of clinical documentation (assessments, addenda, service notes, treatment plans, etc.)
- Facilitate assessments for new clients via in-person or telehealth platforms
- Respond effectively to crises through crisis management protocols; implement behavior management strategies as needed.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC, LCMHC-A), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW, LCSA-A), or equivalent licensure with dual certification in mental health and substance abuse treatment (LCAS, LCAS-A).
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic techniques including CBT, addiction counseling, grief counseling, trauma-informed care (including PTSD), and behavioral therapies.
- Experience with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation; familiarity with medical terminology and records management.
- Telehealth experience preferred; ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for virtual platforms while maintaining engagement.
- Excellent crisis intervention skills combined with effective behavior management strategies.
- Background working within clinical environments is advantageous; familiarity with HIPAA compliance is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams; strong case management skills required.
- Knowledge of social work principles and experience providing patient care across diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics is desirable. Pay: $55.00 - $85.00 per hour
