Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or answering questions about merchandise
- Operate the cash register (POS system), handle retail sales transactions accurately, and process cash, credit, or mobile payments
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits to customers, encouraging upselling opportunities
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented according to merchandising standards
- Maintain proper cash handling procedures, including cash drawer balancing and cash register operations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries politely via phone or in person while demonstrating professional phone etiquette
- Assist with inventory management by stocking new products and participating in stock counts
Requirements
- Prior experience with POS systems and retail sales transactions is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in growth opportunities within the team
- Bilingual skills are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain product features and answer customer questions
- Basic math skills for handling cash register operations, retail math calculations, and balancing cash drawers accurately
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge and merchandising principles to enhance the shopping environment
- Ability to demonstrate patience, professionalism, and excellent phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or in person
- Willingness to learn about product demos, upselling techniques, and stock management procedures
