Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Bookkeeper to join our small law firm and support our financial operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about accounting and finance to contribute to a variety of organizational needs. As our bookkeeper, you will manage essential bookkeeping tasks, ensure accurate financial record-keeping, and assist with financial reporting processes. Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of our financial data and support our organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, and Clio
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
- Prepare journal entries, general ledger entries, and account analysis to support month-end close procedures
- Work with our accounting firm for payroll processing, end of month/quarter/year reporting and taxes
- Enter time and expenses in client accounts and review and send out client bills
Qualifications
- Experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including debits & credits, journal entries, general ledger accounting, and double-entry bookkeeping
- Familiarity with financial reports
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work well with others
