Duties
- Prepare and cook pizzas according to established recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate various kitchen equipment safely, including ovens, mixers, and slicing tools.
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza toppings and flavor combinations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all food preparation areas following food safety procedures.
- Support food production by handling ingredients with care, including poaching, braising, grilling, and food handling techniques.
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to uphold hygiene standards during all stages of food prep.
- Collaborate with team members to meet high-volume production demands while adhering to recipe guidelines.
Skills
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as dietary aide, restaurant cook, or catering is highly valued.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures essential for maintaining a safe kitchen environment.
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and food presentation in fine dining or high-volume settings.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Excellent food handling skills combined with a solid understanding of dietary department requirements.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to support smooth kitchen operations.
