American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVICU RN for a night shift travel contract requiring at least 2 years of specialty experience and advanced cardiac device proficiency including PA catheters, LVAD/RVAD/Impella, and IABP.

Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) setting within a 672-bed short-term acute care hospital

Magnet-designated, academic teaching facility with Level III Trauma status

Patient ratio of 1:2

Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00–07:30)
-
Every other weekend required
-
Floating required within the ICU community, including CVICU, Med/Surg ICU, and Neuro ICU
-
No on-call requirements

Charting via Epic/Excellian; experience required

Advanced cardiac equipment and procedures include: PA catheters, LVAD/RVAD/Impella, IABP, CRRT with Prismaflex, ECMO, ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, targeted temperature management, bedside trachs and PEGs, Endotool glucose monitoring, temporary pacemakers, HeartMate 2 & 3, CentriMag, and Balloon Pump

Active MN RN license required; pending license accepted

Current certifications: BLS and ACLS

Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required

PA catheter interpretation and analysis required

LVAD/RVAD/Impella and IABP experience required

Open heart recovery direct from OR strongly preferred
-
CRRT with Prismaflex and ECMO experience preferred

1 supervisor reference required for consideration

First-time travelers are not eligible for this position

Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the assignment begins

RTO requests ideally limited to no more than 5 days for the duration of the contract

Former permanent (staff or per diem) employees must have been separated for at least 3 months from their last shift worked to be eligible

Parking is available at a flat rate of $0.55/hour
