Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated cook who can help run daily food truck operations during lunch service and special events. You will work directly with the owners preparing food, managing fryer items, and keeping the kitchen organized during service.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys cooking, working independently, and being part of building a new local food brand. Will need food handler's certificate.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Serve food to customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Handle food safely and hygienically, adhering to all food safety regulations
- Assist in food presentation and garnishing to enhance visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas
- Manage inventory levels, restock supplies, and assist with food handling procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food handling and restaurant operations
Skills
- Proven experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and kitchen sanitation practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food industry standards
- Experience with food safety certifications is preferred but not required
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high-quality standards
