Matthews Veterinary Services is a completely mobile, privately-owned veterinary practice for all species located in the Greater Austin area. Our patients range from dogs and cats to horses, livestock, poultry, exotic pets, and even wildlife!
Our team is growing, and we are looking for veterinary technicians to join our team. Candidates ideally located within 60 minutes of our office headquarters in Manor, Texas. The right candidates for these positions are veterinary technicians, assistants, and other animal care professionals who have experience working with small animals, large animals, livestock, and/or exotic species. Who are excited to gain experience working with different animal species and in different types of environments.
We often work outside in all seasons and weather conditions, drive long distances between appointments, respond to calls for emergency service, work in close quarters in clients' private spaces, and get very, very dirty!

Responsibilities may include driving company vehicles to appointments, running in-house lab work, helping with medical notes and records, appropriate restraint and handling of a variety of patients, phlebotomy and laboratory sample collection, client education and communication, filling medications from our in-house pharmacy, and assisting with emergencies.
We will be conducting interviews during the month of July and August with plans to hire in August. The interview process will consist of a phone interview with a member of the management team. A second round interview if invited will follow in the form of a scheduled ride-along evaluation with veterinarians and technicians as they complete their daily house calls.
