JMT Staffing Solutions is partnering with a growing and highly reputable commercial construction company in the Greater Boston area to identify a Project Engineer / Draftsperson. This organization specializes in complex exterior wall systems and supports projects with in-house fabrication, allowing for strong collaboration between design and production teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented drafting professional with façade experience who enjoys working on highly customized, design-driven projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed shop drawing packages including plans, sections, elevations, and system details
- Interpret architectural drawings and specifications to develop accurate, buildable designs
- Collaborate with project managers and internal teams to incorporate revisions and design changes
- Coordinate drawings to align with fabrication requirements and production capabilities
- Assist with 3D modeling for complex conditions or custom components when needed
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in drafting or project engineering within the façade/exterior wall industry
- Strong AutoCAD skills (required)
- Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and construction drawings
- Experience producing organized, high-quality shop drawing sets
- Knowledge of curtainwall, panel systems, or similar façade systems
- Revit experience is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 (depending on experience)
