Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES anticipates the need for Teacher Aides for the 2025-2026 school year to work with students with disabilities in a variety of programs. The position requires an ability and willingness to assist students in areas such as: managing behavior, lifting and assisting to enable all self-care activities, mobility, communication, therapies, and feedings.
Must be able to form positive relationships with students. Experience teaching students with various disabilities, especially those transitioning to adult services, preferred. Experience with job readiness preparation preferred. Must be highly organized, dedicated, and able to work independently and in multiple teams. Successful candidates must have a positive, can-do attitude and be committed to the BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
