Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Leasing Manager to lead our property leasing operations with enthusiasm and professionalism. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the leasing process from initial inquiry to lease signing, ensuring a seamless experience for prospective tenants while maximizing occupancy rates. Your expertise in property management, legal compliance, and customer service will drive success and foster positive relationships with tenants and team members alike. Responsibilities
- Manage the entire leasing cycle, including marketing available units, conducting property tours, and negotiating lease terms to secure qualified tenants.
- Utilize property management software such as Yardi and OneSite to maintain accurate records of leasing activities, tenant information, and vacancy status.
- Ensure all lease or rental agreements comply with Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant law, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) requirements, and Section 8 guidelines.
- Coordinate with legal administrative teams to prepare, review, and execute lease contracts while maintaining meticulous filing and data entry records.
- Handle tenant inquiries via phone or in person with professional phone etiquette and excellent customer service skills; upsell available amenities or services when appropriate.
- Oversee property maintenance coordination to ensure units are move-in ready and meet quality standards; collaborate with facilities management teams as needed.
- Resolve conflicts effectively through conflict management techniques, ensuring tenant satisfaction while adhering to lease policies and legal standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or leasing within a property management company environment.
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC compliance, and Section 8 procedures.
- Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Demonstrated ability in sales, negotiation, and contract management with excellent conflict resolution skills.
- Administrative experience including data entry, filing, and handling legal documents related to leases or rental agreements.
- Exceptional customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette; ability to upsell amenities or additional services confidently.
- Familiarity with property maintenance processes and facilities management is preferred.
- Office experience involving customer relationship management (CRM) systems; strong organizational skills for managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- NJ Real Estate license is a must
