Job Summary
Join our vibrant childcare team as a Daycare Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. In this role, you will support early childhood development by assisting lead teachers in implementing educational activities, supervising playtime, and ensuring the well-being of every child. Duties
- Assist with daily classroom activities, including arts and crafts, storytime, and educational games that foster childhood development and early learning skills
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and proper behavior management
- Support teachers in implementing curriculum plans tailored to preschoolers and toddlers, including infants and children with special needs
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning while adhering to health and safety standards
- Provide attentive care to infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
- Engage with children in nurturing caregiving activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and developmental milestones
- Collaborate with team members to monitor individual progress and communicate effectively with parents about their child's day-to-day experiences
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR is required or willing to obtain upon hiring
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work well within a team environment while maintaining flexibility to meet the needs of children and staff
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth through nurturing care and engaging activities

Pay: $21.65 - $26.07 per hour
