American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool (nights) position in Tuscaloosa, AL, requiring at least 2 years of experience and an active AL or compact RN license.

Hospital-based acute care float pool position, with required floating to other units and hospitals within the health system
-
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
36 or 48 hours per week available
-
Every other weekend required
-
Holiday coverage required as scheduled

Early start shifts available for compliant candidates

EMR: Meditech (experience preferred but not required)

13-week contract
-
Active AL state or compact RN license required — no pending or temporary licenses accepted

No hits (past or current) on nursing license allowed

Certifications required: BLS (AHA or Red Cross)

Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher required
-
Minimum 2 years of overall nursing experience, with at least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience

Candidates with 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license may be considered, provided they have 1 year of recent specialty experience

NURSYS license verification required for consideration

Current driver's license required for consideration

Two professional references from within the last year required for consideration

Solid navy scrubs required

Virtual orientation will include competency-based modules — no pre-start HealthStream modules required
