Job Summary
The Tire Technician is responsible for ensuring the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of vehicle tires. This includes inspecting, identifying, and addressing tire issues, as well as maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role requires attention to detail, technical skills, and adherence to company safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Tire Maintenance and Repair
o Inspect tires for defects, wear, and punctures, and ensure proper inflation levels.
o Use appropriate tools to locate and repair hail holes, punctures, and other tire damage.
o Remove and remount wheels on trucks and trailers using lug or impact wrenches.
o Perform tire rotations and replacements as needed.
o Follow all safety rules and guidelines, including proper use of cleaning products and lifting techniques.
o Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment, such as air hoses, buffing tools, tire spreaders, and bead seaters.
o Adhere to safety protocols in various environments, including outdoor and roadside conditions.
- Team Support and Collaboration
o Follow all safety rules and guidelines, including proper use of cleaning products and lifting techniques.
o Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment, such as air hoses, buffing tools, tire spreaders, and bead seaters.
o Adhere to safety protocols in various environments, including outdoor and roadside conditions.

Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment NON-DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
Preferred:
- At least 2 years of related experience or equivalent training.
- Specialized training in tire repair and maintenance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Dependable and punctual.
- Professional demeanor with strong teamwork skills.
- Effective time management abilities.
- Technical knowledge of tire repair and equipment operation.
Working Conditions
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, and cold.
- Exposure to environmental elements, such as fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations.
- Work near moving mechanical parts in a noisy environment.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms.
- Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance.
- Must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision and distance vision.
Wage Range: 20.00 - 24.00 per hour
