This position requires experience deburring metals and steel.
We are looking for a Machine Shop Helper/Fabricator operating power tools, Sanders, and Grinders must be able to Deburr. This is for the Aerospace Industry.
1st Shift $20.00-$22.00 an hour to start
- Deburr machined components when necessary making sure finishes and dimensions remain within specification.
- Responsible for the maintenance and production of material preparation equipment
- Sets up raw or semi-finished metal or machined parts
- Uses compressed air and electric equipment including but not limited to circular hand grinders, Sanders, hand drills, and hand tools.
- Physically lifts 50-pound equipment
- May Cut Metal, Bend and Manipulate
- Grinds, Polishes and sands metal products and machined parts· Inspects for metal defects
- Assists machinist as needed
- Performs internal quality control of assembly, cleaning, and test procedures
Skills:
- 2+ years of deburring, finishing, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Must have experience with tight tolerances
- Experience working with hand tools and small finishing equipment
- Machined Metal experience is a plus
- Ability to read a tape measure and use basic measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
