Country Lane Manor, a skilled nursing facility in Keosauqua, IA, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Cook to join our Dietary Department. In this essential role, you will prepare nutritious, high-quality meals while ensuring food safety and compliance with dietary standards. Your work will play an important part in enhancing the health and well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and resident dietary requirements
Follow standardized recipes and proper portion control guidelines
Prepare food for regular, therapeutic, and special diets as directed
Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Assist with food preparation, storage, and inventory as needed
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
Support the dietary team in providing exceptional meal service to residents
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous food service or healthcare dietary experience preferred
Culinary training or certification is a plus
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
