Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Administer medications, including injections and inhalations, as directed by healthcare providers
- Obtain and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment for use
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and general healthcare topics
- Assist with medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and coding medical procedures
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare role is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic life support procedures
- Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is a plus
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology
- Proficiency in medication administration techniques, including injections and inhalations
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology to accurately communicate with healthcare providers and patients
- Exceptional patient service skills to provide compassionate care and support to patients
- Basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Ability to perform medical administrative tasks efficiently and accurately
- Familiarity with coding systems such as ICD-10-CM and CPT is a plus
- Proficient in taking accurate vital signs measurements
