The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for MCO Construction & Services, providing professional and welcoming front office support. This role is responsible for managing incoming calls, greeting visitors, maintaining office organization, and supporting administrative functions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
This position plays a key role in creating a positive first impression and supporting overall office efficiency.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and customer service focused, with the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a professional presence.
Key Responsibilities
Office Operations Support
- Greet visitors, clients, and vendors in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answer and route incoming phone calls
- Manage general office email and inquiries, directing messages as appropriate
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and deliveries
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment across office locations
- Monitor office supplies and place orders as needed
- Support coordination of office services and vendors
- Maintain organized office records and documentation
Employee & Administrative Teams Support
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic filing systems, records, and documentation
- Perform data entry, document preparation, and general administrative support, including routine correspondence and forms
- Support scheduling, calendar coordination, and pre-employment activities such as background checks and drug screenings
- Provide clerical support to HR and Finance, including onboarding coordination, document management, timesheet tracking, and administrative processes
- Assist with operational support tasks, including monitoring renewal dates, submitting applications for business licenses and certifications, and supporting proposal and bid document preparation
- Serve as a point of contact for general employee inquiries and direct as appropriate
- Support internal team operations and perform additional administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of receptionist, administrative, customer service, or office coordination experience required
- Associate’s degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook; Excel a plus)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
