Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures to create a welcoming environment.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and appointment schedules accurately to facilitate seamless visits.
- Answer incoming calls promptly, address inquiries, and schedule or reschedule appointments efficiently.
- Collect and process payments, co-pays, and insurance documentation with attention to detail.
- Maintain organized patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), and ensure confidentiality at all times.
- Coordinate with medical staff to confirm appointment times and prepare necessary documentation for patient visits.
- Support medical administrative tasks such as faxing, scanning, and filing documents to keep the office running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a medical or dental office setting is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately communicate with patients and staff.
- Proven ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with medical administrative support functions such as scheduling, billing, and record keeping.
- Office experience demonstrating organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanor.
