HVAC Service Technician – Watford City, ND
Position: Commercial HVAC Service Technician
Location: Watford City, ND (Full-Time)
Compensation: Competitive Hourly Rate (DOE) + Performance Incentives + Overtime Opportunities. Up to $60/Hr. *$30k Sign On Bonus*

What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC/R systems (including furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, rooftop units, Chillers, Cooling Towers, and air handlers).
- Perform precision winterization and harsh-weather diagnostic tuning to ensure maximum system reliability during extreme temperature drops.
- Interact professionally with customers, explaining technical issues clearly and offering long-term efficiency solutions.
- Maintain an organized, well-stocked company service vehicle and adhere strictly to regional mechanical codes and safety standards.
What We Are Looking For
- The Experience: Minimum of 5–8+ years of dedicated HVAC service experience. Journeyman license is highly preferred (we will assist with North Dakota licensing reciprocity for out-of-state transfers).
- Harsh-Weather Mindset: Experience with or a strong desire to master extreme-cold climate heating systems. Knowledge of propane/natural gas systems, complex electrical schematics, and hydronic/boiler systems is a massive plus.
- The Basics: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, EPA Universal Certification, and the physical stamina to work in varied outdoor conditions.

Pay Range: $40.00/hr.- $60.00 per hour, depending on experience- with a Mid-Year review resulting in a possible wage increase
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, low rotation on-call schedule
Job Duties:
- Provides preventive maintenance on heating and cooling systems.
- Troubleshoots units that are not working and replace parts that are defective.
- Performs related work as assigned.
- Installs refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, pneumatic control, and humidity control systems.
- Understanding and troubleshooting knowledge of the following:
- Rooftop Units
- Air Handling Units
- Wet Systems
- Cooling Towers
- VAV Boxes
- Variable Frequency Drives
- Build strong customer relationships and build knowledge and understanding of new and existing customer needs/expectations
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience specific to the commercial HVAC industry
- Knowledge of the theory, methods, practices, tools, and equipment of the trade
- Possess own basic hand tools
- EPA Universal certified
- Knowledge of the operating principles and characteristics of the various types of refrigeration, pneumatic/DDC control, and air conditioning systems
- Knowledge of basic electricity and control systems
- Ability to apply the theory, technique, principles, and processes of the HVAC mechanic's trade
- Ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints, specifications, and schematics
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, or stand, lift, and move heavy objects
