Responsibilities
- Perform general dentistry procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and extractions with precision and care
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, to develop personalized treatment plans
- Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses and treatment options effectively to patients
- Execute dental surgeries such as oral surgeries and dental extractions following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Manage medical documentation diligently, ensuring all procedures are recorded in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical records standards
- Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize patient flow and comfort during procedures
- Use dental imaging tools and medical imaging techniques to diagnose issues accurately and plan appropriate interventions
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of anatomy, endodontics (root canal therapy), prosthodontics (dental fabrication), and pediatric dentistry to provide comprehensive care
- Adhere strictly to infection control standards and HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality and safety
Requirements
- Valid state license to practice dentistry as a General Dentist or equivalent certification
- Proven experience in dental office or clinic settings with proficiency in Dentrix electronic health record systems
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care
- Experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery procedures
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices when treating children or adolescents
- Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently for improved patient comfort and practice productivity
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient needs
- Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures in a clinical setting
- Strong communication skills for explaining treatments clearly and building trust with patients
