We are hiring for an In Home Caregiver to work 1-1 with our client. client requires full assistance with all Activities of Daily Living. starting pay between $21-22 an hour
Saturdays 8am-8pm and 8pm-8am both available. Additional day and night shifts available. Consistent availability is required.
You will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life through following their personalized care plan. This energetic position involves providing comprehensive support that promotes safety, and well-being. You will deliver attentive patient care, assist with daily activities, and foster a warm, trusting environment for clients across various stages of life and health conditions. Your dedication will directly impact clients’ comfort and happiness while ensuring adherence to all safety and privacy standards.
Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to promote dignity and independence.
- Support with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary requirements are met according to care plans.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, observe changes in health status, and report findings accurately to healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications safely following prescribed instructions and document medication administration in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility and prevent injury.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation, especially for clients with dementia or neurodevelopmental disorders.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces.
- Support clients during community outings or personal transportation needs, ensuring safety at all times.
- Follow care plans meticulously while adapting to individual needs; communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Participate in ongoing training related to hospice care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, autism support, and other specialized areas to enhance caregiving skills.
Experience
- 2 years of prior experience working in home care, home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs accurately.
- Experience with medication administration, first aid procedures, CPR certification, and manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts is essential.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times.
- Background supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, geriatrics, or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous.
- Proven ability to work independently while maintaining excellent communication skills with clients and team members.
- Strong organizational skills for managing care plans, documenting patient progress, and coordinating activities seamlessly.
Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
