Job Summary
The Cathedral School is seeking a dependable and hardworking custodian to join our facilities team. The ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas daily.
- Perform routine floor care including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and buffing.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal.
- Monitor and restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down furniture for school events and activities.
- Conduct minor repairs and report larger maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager.
- Follow all health, safety, and security procedures to ensure a safe school environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous custodial, janitorial, or maintenance experience in a school or similar setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods, and perform physical labor.
- Successful completion of a background check is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
