About the Role:
Colon Rectal Associates of Central New York is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our specialized clinical team in Camillus, NY. Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and procedures
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories accurately in the EMR
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper sterilization and supply stocking
- Administer injections, collect specimens, collect blood, and perform basic clinical tasks as directed
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate effectively between front and back office
- Schedule follow-up appointments, referrals, and procedure prep instructions
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance standards
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred
- Prior clinical or medical office experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong phlebotomy and vital signs skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced specialty practice environment
