Duties
- Manage daily operations of the canine resort, including scheduling staff, overseeing activities, and maintaining high standards of care
- Supervise dog handling, training, grooming, and feeding routines to ensure each pet’s needs are met with kindness and professionalism
- Oversee pet sitting services, ensuring dogs are monitored closely and their safety is prioritized at all times
- Train and mentor staff on animal handling techniques, restraint procedures, and customer service excellence
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to uphold cleanliness, safety protocols, and compliance with health regulations
- Coordinate veterinary visits or emergency responses when necessary, maintaining clear communication with veterinary professionals
- Foster a positive environment that promotes pet wellness, owner satisfaction, and team collaboration
Requirements
- Proven experience in dog training, pet grooming, or animal handling roles such as veterinary technician or veterinary assistant
- Strong background in kennel management or pet sitting with demonstrated leadership skills
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and proper handling to ensure safety for both dogs and staff
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or supplies related to animal care
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Familiarity with veterinary procedures and pet health management is highly desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed to support 24/7 pet care operations
