David French Music is a family owned and operated company that offers a welcoming, fun, and positive company culture. We provide high quality musical instrument rentals and service to communities and school systems across New England. We support music in these communities by making regular school visits and having in-house repair departments in both our MA and ME offices, as well as providing private music lessons and sales of musical instruments and accessories at our Westborough, MA office location.
We are regularly seeking full-time experienced Band Instrument Repair Technicians to join our amazing team!
Your primary responsibilities will require your skilled expertise to perform the following:
- Repair stock, rental and customer owned band instruments
- Provide complete diagnosis and estimates for repair jobs
- Check and test inventory
- Prep rental inventory, as needed
- Log and update repair tickets in computer system;
- Ability to communicate with customers as needed on repairs (phone, email, and in-person)
- Able to communicate clearly with service reps and other technicians
Knowledge / Skills:
- Proficient with play testing woodwind instruments
- Experience working with small machinery and power tools to perform necessary instrument repairs
- Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team setting
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Ability to follow established processes and procedures
Requirements:
- 2+ years of work experience in the industry
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Able to lift 30 pounds
- Able to carry multiple instruments at once
- Able to climb stairs, ladders or step stools while carrying instruments
- Working knowledge of computers
