Duties
- Safely operate shuttle buses, delivery vans, and other commercial vehicles to transport passengers or goods efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers or clients with boarding, disembarking, and inquiries
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance
- Follow all state transportation regulations, including hours of service and vehicle safety standards
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks when loading or unloading cargo or equipment
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate schedules and address any issues promptly
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., chauffeur’s license, commercial driver’s license)
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, or similar role in passenger or freight transportation
- Knowledge of state transportation regulations and safety standards
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with passengers and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely
- Experience with bus driving, limousine services, paratransit operations, or school bus driving is a plus
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance routines and basic troubleshooting skills
- Customer service orientation with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
