1st Shift Quality Control Technician Job Responsibilities:
- Perform quality inspections using CMM, gauges, and other inspection equipment
- Conduct incoming, in-process, dock, and process inspections/audits
- Read blueprints and use basic GD&T to verify specifications
- Perform sampling, quality alerts, sorts, scrap processing, and production setups
- Maintain part traceability using barcode scanning
- Use SAP for inspection plans, quality holds, scrap, reporting, and inventory movements
- Maintain accurate records for audits, Poka-Yoke checks, and defective material
- Assist with root-cause analysis using 5 Why and 8D
- Work closely with Quality Engineers, suppliers, and production teams to improve quality
- Support inspection equipment maintenance and calibration
- Follow ISO 9001, ISO 14001, TS 16949, safety, quality, and 5S requirements
- Safely operate powered industrial trucks and overhead cranes as needed
- Must be flexible with assignments and able to rotate between multiple sites
Ideal Candidate: Detail-oriented, quality-focused, comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, and able to work overtime/weekends when needed.
