Respite Job Position
Job Title
RespiteCare/Supported Living Provider
Primary Function
Maintain a safe, fun and enriching environment for two young ladies (sisters) with cognitive disabilities/chronic illness and assist them with activities of daily living and recreation
Education
High School diploma or GED
Certified Nursing Assistant preferred, but not required
Experience
Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred

Duties
Assist with grooming, dressing , bathing and toileting Assist with goals/skills development
Take on outings within the community
Administer medications as directed
Provide first aid for seizures (training provided)
Assist with meals
Model appropriate behavior and language
Manage behaviors creatively, patiently and constructively
Provide occasional light housework
Other
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle available
Background check required
Terms of Employment
Somewhat flexible schedule that is a mix of days and evenings
Pay rate of up to $22/hour
Approximately 10-15 hours per week, more in summer
1 year or longer commitment preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 per hour
