Responsibilities
Support customer and supplier quality activities throughout the manufacturing process.
Lead Root Cause Analysis using methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Why.
Complete PPAPs, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and other Automotive Core Tools documentation.
Monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability.
Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
Perform mechanical inspections utilizing CMMs, optical comparators, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
Conduct supplier audits and support customer scorecards.
Collaborate with Engineering and Production to improve manufacturing quality and reduce defects.
Support new product launches and APQP activities.
Help mentor Quality Inspectors and Technicians while serving as a technical resource across the plant.
Qualifications
2+ years of Automotive Quality Engineering experience
Experience within automotive manufacturing
Strong knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and other Automotive Core Tools
Experience working directly with customers and suppliers
Ability to interpret blueprints and GD&T
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience
Plastic or rubber manufacturing
Injection molding
Automotive sealing systems
CMM and Optical Comparator experience
IATF 16949

Statistical analysis and capability studies
